SanDisk solid state drives (SSDs) are high-speed, energy-efficient data storage solutions offering improved performance for consumer and business applications alike. With their advanced solid state architecture and tremendous data speeds, these SSDs outpace traditional hard-disk drives (HDDs) in every performance category. And since they have no moving parts, SSDs run cooler, create less noise, and use less power than HDDs, placing less strain on system resources.

For consumers, SanDisk SSDs offer the extra computational muscle needed to keep pace with next-generation games and applications. Whether you're a gamer, a computing enthusiast, or an everyday PC user, a SanDisk SSD brings quicker program loading, smoother application performance, and faster data transfer to your PC.

I bought one of these about 3 months ago for £160 and it's a great drive; extremely fast and no hiccups 8)

I have the 120GB version since the end of May, it's very fast and I've never had any issues with it. £120 for a very good 240GB SSD seems like a good price to me :).

And when they fix the TRIM issue with a firmware update soon it'll be even better :D

Those kind of figures make an upgrade seriously tempting.
Shame I would need a new motherboard and processor too...

Currently on a Gigabyte P55 board, though I'm sure the POST process is slowing my Vertex 2 down.
No idea how people get such quick startups :(

Wouldn't buy it off eBay but still a hot deal as it isn't much more money at places like Amazon.
Wow. Looks like proper capacity SSDs are finally becoming affordable.
Have an Intel 160GB SSD and it's the bare minimum I would use for a Win7 machine with a secondary large capacity old platter drive as storage.

Only partially... TRIM is on it seems, but there's still issues with the sandforce controller, which is fixed in the current beta, so hopefully rolling out very soon for realz

Without going into to much details its a feature for SSDs that prevents deterioration over a period of time so that you get more writes out of your drive. This model has the feature but it's not working properly.

This will be resolved by Sandisk in their next firmware update.

Does anybody know if I use the drive now then update with the proper TRIM firmware when it eventually does comes out, does it mean I will lose all my data?
